can anyone explain the joke that peter did in family guy about john wayne?
he said : this is john wayne at the first thanksgiving
“im john wayne at the first thanksgiving, PILGRAMS! happy thanksgiving, PILGRAMS!”
im too young to know who john wayne is so im not exactly sure what they were trying to say about him
When people do imitations of John Wayne they often call someone ‘pilgrim’ like he did in an old western movie*. Peter turns the joke around and has John Wayne at the first thanksgiving with some actual ‘pilgrims’.
