Cannot find team from autographed baseball?
I have come into possession of an autographed baseball. I have been told it is 25 – 30 (give or take) years old. There are only 21 names on this ball.
Some of the signatures that I can make out are Wayne Jinske, Ethan Blackaby, Herb Hippauf and Ricardo Carty maybe Dave Fracaco and Paul Chenger. First names I can make out are Mike, Bruce, Jerry, Walt, Ed, Dick, John. One last name is Kopacz, however, the first name is not even close to looking like George.
Can anyone help me find out where the heck this is from or at least a common team? I cannot seem to find common ground with some of them. I can link some to 1966 Atlanta Braves, but, only a few. I can link some to Milwaukee Braves, but, different years. I guess I am search engine stupid and have not had any luck.
I would appreciate any help I can get on this.
That is puzzling…Ethan Blackaby last played for the Braves in 1964, but Herb Hippauf didn’t play with them until 1966. Rico Carty was on both teams. Perhaps what you have is a ball that was signed in Srring Training, or one that was signed by members of a Braves farm team at a slightly earlier time. Wish I could be of more help.
