Should papers really still be able to print stories that make a joke out of domestic violence when this violence is carried out towards men?
For instance, had it of been John Wayne Bobbit that had mutilated the reproductive organs of his wife the world would have been horrified, but as it was at the time the story was run as a ‘joke’. Surely this isn’t equality of the sexes.

hmmm. that DOES seem sexist the way . media, being what it IS, will put a humorous slant in when they can. look for a media campaign featuring the slogan, “eat my food’ feel my fork!”
