John Wayne DVD gift set. Cant tell which one. HELP PLeASE?
Lately I have been seen a Commercial for a John Wayne Gift set of DVDs. I have not been able to see the Commercial again and my Boyfriend’s birthday is on the 7th. I really want to get this for him but can’t figure out what it said it was on the Commercial. Has anyone seen it and could please tell me what one it was?

A lot of those “Compilation” sets or gift sets have a bunch of the old “Two-reel” films that Duke made for Republic Pictures in the late 30s, before, and even after he made “Stagecoach” for John Ford. I’d stay away from those. They’re not very good movies, and are interesting for trivia’s sake only. I know; I received one as a gift.

This one contains his last film, “The Shootist” where he plays a gunfighter, who, ironically, is dying of cancer. Casey C has this set as being at Target. It’s probably cheaper there than at Amazon, though I don’t know.
