Should we have compassion for psychopath killers like John Wayne Gacy, Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, ETC?
even though they committed terrible crimes they did it because of how their brain was wired and I believe they had no control over their actions most of the time
No, people are responsible for their mental health and physical health. In reading up on John Wayne Gacy I see no concrete reports on the parents, in fact, I have concluded he was spoiled more than anything however did recognize in several notations his father’s selfishness and a head injury while playing on a swing at the age of 11.
Did Gacy refuse to see his father’s behavior for what it was?
If he was unaware of what he was doing how did he maintain his home…bills or any sort of a lifestyle. I don’t buy the “no control over their actions” concept. I feel enough evidence was put forth that suggests they had choices in life.
