How to begin training Muay Thai in Thailand?

I’ve seen a lot of foreigners training in Muay Thai Camps in thailand and I’ve been practicing Muay Thai a lot now and I really love and enjoyed the sport. I have plans for myself that when I reach college I’ll save money and go to Thailand to train furthermore. But I still don’t know what to do when I reach there cause I don’t really have anyone to guide me there. I read John Wayne Parr’s biography and I found out that he actually lived in a Muay Thai camp in Thailand. Theire are some questions thats been running through my mind though.

*When I arrive in thailand where will I go?
*What will I do to begin my training when I’m all alone?
*How can I explain to them what training I want if they can’t even speak english?
*I want to follow the John Wayne Parr’s rules-You Live,Eat,Sleep Muay Thai
*Does it cost much? when living in a gym?
*Can I still earn money when I’m training without a job?

If you have any other good tips for me I’ll be very glad to hear them.

I would recommend the Thorntree Forums at Lonelyplanet.com. Thailand has its own section under SE Asia. You can make some English speaking contacts, which will be invaluable. I recommend a lot of research and make as many contacts before you go as possible. You cannot work on a student visa, and working visa are tougher to come by now.

Consider starting with an up to date travel guide for the Kingdom. This can be very complicated, but you need to pay attention to details for your own safety and the experience that you want to pay for.
