Any John Wayne movie buffs?
My history class watched part of a lesser-known John Wayne movie today. We are going to watch the rest tomorrow, but I won’t be in class and want to find the movie online to watch it myself
I have no idea what it’s called though…
It was about a cowboy who hired some small boys from the local school to help him drive the horses down into some town. The boys had never done any cowboying before and were totally new to everything. There was also one African-American cowboy who went along on the trip and the boys’ reactions to him were quite amusing…
Anyone know the name of this movie???
“The Cowboys” is a 1972 western starring John Wayne, Roscoe Lee Browne, Slim Pickens, A Martinez , Bruce Dern, and Robert Carradine. You can read more about the plot and characters here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cowboys

Hondo (Full Screen) $3.37 Although scarcely seen in its original 3-D, and entirely out of sight for a decade and a half after its producer-star died, Hondo has maintained a high rep among John Wayne fans–and it wasn’t even directed by Howard Hawks or John Ford. (Actually, Ford did shoot some second-unit stuff while visiting Wayne on location.) Half-breed Hondo, companioned only by an antisocial dog, tends to be more sympa… |
